Taken at a Borders' Books & Records here in Northern Virginia. It would appear their listening stations use Linux....and that there's something wrong with the ethernet connection.

Even though it's an error message it's good to see Linux at work in the public.

in all probability that *is* what's on the borders in your 'hood....it's just working properly.

What amuses me about this is that for applications like cd listening terminals (which actually stream audio from some remote server when the barcode on the CD is scanned in), the end-user will not know or care what OS is running. The only time we know what is actually used is when it breaks. Usually that means BSODs in Windows, or this little Tux....

They couldn't have done that, they don't know what's ethernet, they only know internet :D:D
