Can anyone identify what this huge on-screen menu is and where it came from (ie package name)?

This is Karmic, on an old Dell.

I was updating gnome-applets, trying to get my volume control back, and I must have installed something I was unaware of.

I have no idea what it is or what it's called, and it doesn't respond meaningfully to right-clicks, and there doesn't seem to be any way to configure it or get rid of it. I would appreciate anyone who recognises it letting me know what it is and how I can get rid of it -- permanently. [Edit: BTW it also runs like a slug in treacle.]

(And if anyone knows how to get my volume control back, I'd appreciate knowing that, too :-)

It appears to be something called "Netbook Launcher" in System > Prefs > Startup, and disabling it got rid of it.

Still no indication of the package name, but at least it's gone.

And I got the volume control back by clicking on Indicator Applet in the Add to Panel menu. WTF they had to rename it from "Volume Control" is beyond guessing.
