I would like to setup my computer to do a dual boot of Ubuntu 9.1 and Mandriva 2010. Since I still manage to screw up my system from time to time a separate home partition and boot partition would be nice so I would not loose everything when these occurrences happen. I have a 500 gb drive what would be a good way to partition it for such an adventure? I was thinking that the partitions for the OS's would not need to be too large if I had a separate home directory to use for my music, pictures, movies etc. And with a dedicated grub partition I should still be able to boot to the other OS in times of trouble ( or that is the plan at any rate). I have the live cd for ubuntu 9.1 and for Mandriva. How should I proceed next?
