33 here, mid-afternoon, 22 wind chill. That's less than my age!!!

http://www.s-seriesforum.com/forum/images/smilies/freezing.gif

I asked my local TV weatherguy when we're gonna' get some global warming, cause it's cold here in NC USA since it hasn't been since 1977.

He sent an email back, and laughed, and said they don't call it global warming anymore but 'climate change'. Probably cause there's not enough warming to substantiate the propaganda.

Anyway, I'm hoping they'll change the name back, so it warms up JUST a little...

CAUSE IT'S COLD

The applet on my desktop is currently showing 1 C / 34 F but the pop-up says 'Feels like -4.7 C', which is probably about right cause it's blinking cold... Then again, that's probably warm compared to Siberia or parts of Canada...

As Ali G (comedian Sacha Baron Cohen - Borat et al) said of global warming .. "In England it will be as hot as Ibiza... Make it happen!"

16 F (-9 C) and partly cloudy. The wind chill is 2 F (-16 C).

Celsius is better to use in the winter because it's more accurate when trying to explain to people just how cold it is...

It's actually not too chilly where I am (relatively.) It's 37 F (2.77 C.) Over the last month we've been seeing a lot of temperatures around 3 F (-16 C) with windchills sending it down to as low as -18 F (-27.778 C.) So overall, a lil' chilly:P

Its summer here in Aussie, but its a VERY cold start to January. Currently, its sitting on 14.7C (58.46F) and its only heading up to 21C (69.8F). The average for this month though is 26C (78F) 8).

Not entirely sure. That is a bit on the hot side, but certainly not as bad as 46.4C (115.4F) we had to endure last year during Black Saturday last year, or the 3 days of hell before that where it continuously hit 43C (109.4F) and didn't go below 29C (84.2F) at night. That's when we start worrying.

But yeah, a few days like what's coming up next week are pretty normal to us folks here in southern Australia, especially Adelaide and to a lesser extent, Melbourne (certainly not Tasmania though)

Well, compared to everyone on this page (except DynastyX), we're having a heat wave here in Monadnock Mountain region of New Hampshire. Currently, it's 13 F (-1 C for our friends outside the USA), and windy like you wouldn't believe. I don't have any wind chill info yet, but I'm sure it's not good.

Well, the mercury only reached a rather chilly 19C (66F) today, and currently its 17.8C (64F).

Sweat, leading to evaporation. Evaporation cools objects (like you) that its in contact with.

Dont forget humidity. I know, the southern states tend to not get it as bad as here, but its important. I see a lot of 'wind chill factor' data, but it seems that people forget how important humidity is.

Currently, its 26C / 85% humidity here (at 1AM). 26C sounds OK, but that humidity means I'm still sweating. :|

Maybe some parts of Canada but it was in the 90sF this week , i hate when every one thinks all Canadians live in ice houses LOL

To the OP: I don't find these jokes about global warming funny.

If you seriously believe that "global warming" means "it will be warmer by a noticeable amount each successive year" or something along those lines, you need a head check.

If you're joking, it's not a funny joke.

It was 30C here in the London today, the hottest day of the year (so far).
