View Full Version : [ubuntu] connecting to Internet (WIFI) from CLI

Hello Community,

I prefer to work in CLI for many applications. I have set up my computer so that it boots directly to CLI. If I want the GUI then I enter the command "startx".

The problem is that when I boot directly to CLI, without first going to the GUI, I am not connected to the Internet. I work via WIFI.

Does anyone have any idea how I can connect to the WIFI signal from CLI without having the go to GUI (where the connection happens automatically)?

Thanks

The configuration is done via /etc/network/interfaces.
