After installing Hardy Heron twice, 64-bit and 32-bit, the mouse sticks and the cursor will not move after a very short while of mousing.]
1. This is a Dell Dimension with a SATA drive. The owner inherited it from a company his son belonged to. He got a rootkit and Windows couldn't be accessed. Without a copy of the OS, I decided Ubuntu would be the answer, since everything he does can be done on Linux.
2. I erased the hard disk and installed Hardy Heron.
3. After installation, everything went fine for a short while, then the mouse stuck. I rebooted. The mouse stuck again after a short while. I tried different ports, different mice.
Any ideas on what I can do?
