I've occasionally had difficulties with mice in Ubuntu, but after upgrading to 9.10, it is a constant problem. I have a Logitech Trackball (USB). Sometimes immediately after logging in to Ubuntu, it gets so slow that it's unusable; yet it works just fine prior to login. If you can manage to log out, the device is still unusable in the login window. The only cure is to reboot.
Other times, the device is usable, but within 5 minutes or so, it is again slow.
Any ideas are appreciated!
