My system had been very stable for weeks, but lately, it is doing something strange. I wonder if it is the nVidia 195.22 Beta driver?
When I reboot, it comes up in the wrong resolution and there is no menu bar at the top of the screen or task bar at the bottom. When this happens, I Ctrl-Alt-F1, log in, and do "sudo service gdm restart". Then, it usually comes back up with a normal GUI.
However, when I did this a minute ago, it came up in the correct resolution and the menu bar was at the top, but still no task bar at the bottom.
I have no idea what is going on. I need help.
