Hi, i am a totally new ubuntu user. I just installed ubuntu on a separate partition and after i enabled my graphics card i rebooted my computer. After i selected ubuntu from the grub menu and then the ubunto symbol came on adn the THE SCREEN WENT BLANK. i know how to disable the graphics card from the recovery thing but i want to use my graphics card for all the cool desktop effects. What do i do. And just a reminder i am a totally new to linux so plz be as detailed in the responses.
