I use evolution 2.12.3 for a mail client on one computer, so I installed it on another one. I saved my addressbook on the old computer as a vcard, rsync'd the file to the new computer, went to File->Import on the new computer, and imported the new file. All the entries in the old addressbook show up on the new computer's "contacts" (ctrl-2) page, but the new one won't find anything using search, or using autocompletion while composing a message. I checked "Mark as default folder" in the "properties" menu for the addressbook and turned on autocompletion for the addressbook. I closed evolution, killed all its daemons, and restarted. No luck.
As a last resort, I rsync'd the entire .evolution directory from the old computer to the new one. Still doesn't work.
Any ideas?
