How do you know which packages (and the name of the package) you need to download if you do a minimal install?

The minimal will download everything but the desktop so you can either run a CLI or download a simple desktop or one of the main ones, or parts of one.

Huh?
Let me rephrase. I have done the minimal install from the MiniCD.ISO
Now I have a prompt, and I want to start installing packages. But I don't know which packages to get, or what the names of those packages are. How do I find out what I need, and what they are called.
I know "kde-minimal", but that's all.
