I'm running GNOME, and for whatever reason, whenever I run a Qt app, I'm gauranteed to get paint / draw issues. For instance, sometimes I'll open a window, and it will show up blank (no contents) until I resize / move it. Or, when using menus, some menu items will stay highlighted even after they have lost focus.

Is there a way to fix this? It's getting rather annoying.

Some info on my setup:

lspci -nn | grep VGA:
02:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: nVidia Corporation GeForce 8200M G [10de:0845] (rev a2)

I have the "NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (version 173)" enabled under System->Administration->Hardware Drivers.
