Hi.

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this message, but I'll shot anyways.

I got a ps3 for xmas, and came across DLNA for the first time. I sat up fuppes, which works ok and all but was a bit of a nightmare to set up. Also I'd love to have a look at the protocol my self :)

Does anyone here have any experience with the DLNA protocol? Is it based on RTSP? I haven't bothered wiresharking fuppes, because it runs on a server without a screen. Anyone got any good links, know what RFC it is defined in(if it is)?

UPnP is the spec you want to look at it (but it's not an RFC) -- specifically UPnP AV. DLNA is, AFAICT, a set of constraints applied to UPnP AV, along with maybe some DRM?, but the spec is not freely available.

I'm still learning about this myself, and don't have much more to offer right now.
