Does anyone know whether there are any Multimedia codecs for java. I need it for my Java Desktop Environment http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1366319

Any help would be appreciable

Is this the sort of thing that you are looking for?

It is a link to the Java Media Framework. Using this I think you can create mp3 players and video players. It is on my todo list to learn more about but I havent got round to it yet.

Here is a link to an API.

hello i have managed to install jmf and add the mp3 plugin to it..

just follow the instructions from this page..
