View Full Version : [ubuntu] Remove older kernels after upgrading to 9.10 from 9.04

I upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10. But I see a lot of options in the bootloader(I think about 5).

I think I can definitely get rid of atleast two of them, which are older kernels 2.6.28.. which is used in 9.04.

Can you help me in figuring out how to delete the older kernels

Go into System -> Administration -> Synaptic and Search for the name of the older kernels. Then, click/check them for removal.

Among the results I get, I checked for installed packages, I couldn't find any package whose name/description was relevant to older kernels. I am still not sure which package to remove
