Hi all,

I was able to install ubuntu 9.10 netbook remix on external USB HDD that I used to boot from my HP mini 5101. Now since all things worked fine even wireless (Broadcom 4353 (rev1)) I want to clone it to my inetrnal HDD that has Windows 7.
Since netbook doesn't have DVD/CD writer, is it possible to clone from external HDD or if not, what is best and most efficient method to install (usb flash disk maybe)?

TIA!

Installing from usb flash will work.
The cloning might work too but it depends a bit on the partitions layout and how is grub2 configured where to look for ubuntu. I haven't done anything like that myself so I don't know how it would work.
If you want to try cloning first, one option might be with CloneZilla (www.clonezilla.org). I think they even have image for download for usb stick, or you can just use the cd image but you would need to make the stick bootable with any peocedure you feel comfortable with.
