How can I set the default view for a folder and apply this to all subfolders also?
For example.. I have all my photo's categorized in a lot of folders and I want the default view to be "Icon View" without having to set the view for every individual folder.

Using Nautilus 2.28.4

Is "Icon View" not the default view in Nautilus?

Anyway, if you go to edit -> preferences, under the 'view' tab you'll see a "Default View" option for new folders. There you should be able to set the default view of all folders.

Hope that helps.

I know..
But I want to set the default view for a specific folder including subfolders. And leave the rest as it's set.

The solution suggested above sets view tipe for all folders, but the original question was how to set differents views for differents folders (and subfolders):

Example: set "list view" in "documents" and all subfolders and set "icon view" in "images" and all subfolders.

You're correct indeed..
Well, Nautilus cannot do this I guess.. too bad.

Mostly using Dolphin as a filemanager for now, Dolphin is able to do what I want.
