I'm not sure why this is, but the window borders are like twice the size they should be (see attachment). My screen res is 1680x1050 if that matters.

Those window borders don't look twice the size to me. What do you mean?

Oh, that's probably because the image I sent was scaled down. And 'border' might not be the right word for it. I mean the top part that displays the window title and the minimize/maximize/close buttons. That's what I mean by borders. My window borders are 30 pixels wide but I see in your screenshot that they are only 20 pixels wide (if your picture wasn't scaled). I took a screenshot of your screenshot being viewed in GIMP to show you the difference between your window borders and mine.

It depends what theme your using. Some are made with wide borders.
Your not using the default theme and you've changed the window border,which also changes the title bar.
system > preferences > appearance > customize > window border
I like the wide borders for window resizing.

The Size of the Window-Borders is influenced by the DPI settings in the font-preferences. Higher DPI = larger GUI-Elements (including the window-borders).
