5.1 surround sound not working

Hi peeps,

I have motherboard ASRock 775i945GZ and cannot get my 5.1 to work. It has never worked as I've only just switched from Windows.

Any ideas anyone?

Oh and to add to this, The sound does work but only in regular sound. Its as if I need some software to cope with 5 speakers and a sub, but cannot find anythihng suitable.

Any ideas?
