Stuck At Busy Box!

Hello, I've been trying to boot my custom built P4 rig to ubuntu for the last couple days.

9.10 and 9.04 both didn't work wouldn't boot off Live CD. So im trying 8.04.
It seems to work but every time i try booting from the live CD i get stuck at Busy Box.

I've tried adding "all_generic_ide" but it's not working.
Im not sure what to do?

This is getting very frustrating! i've been working on this for several days now. And it refuses to boot from the Live CD.

Okay i got past the Busy Box screen.
Now X-server wont start i get a orange screen and i can move the mouse but x-server won't start.

i tried restarting with (Ctrl)+(Alt)+(Backspace) and sometimes it shows the login screen for a second then goes black again.

Any suggestions?

BTW to get this far i had to boot in edd=on

It seems 8.04 is not good for your card - but, 8.10 is.
