Hi, hopefully someone can help me out here.

I want to install Edubuntu 9.10 on an old Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600 laptop for my young son but cannot find a way to install it. I have downloaded the Edubuntu DVD ISO image and burnt it to a DVD. However, the laptop only has a CD drive. Also, the laptop doesn't have the ability to boot from USB so I cannot install from a memory stick or USB connected DVD drive.

Does anyone have any suggestions how I could install Edubuntu 9.10 considering these limitations. If it was available on CD's then I could install it ok but It doesn't appear to be available on CD's.

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Many thanks

Russell

oh ok, thanks for that.

I wasn't aware you could do that. Presumably then you just download and install the Edubuntu stuff from the "Ubuntu Software Centre" like any other software.

Thanks for you help
