dont u think that sabily is a good opportunity to get old people to use computers? i mean for example my mother thinks its a waste of time, except skype she loves it so much, i know she will impress by its islamic flavour as mhmdfoss described sabily.

Here in Sudan i think people will love it because it's Arabic & it have an islamic flavor so why they don't , but old people maybe cause alot of them have compuphobia , i think they would like but not use it.

i am not sure but i think u dont need it> just add it in software sourses others software tab.
You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:sabily.team/ppa to your system's Software Sources.(copy paste from their page).

i just installed Ubuntu to give it a try and after I saw some posts on Sabily, I almost uninstalled Jaunty to make the switch. But then I was searching the forum for tips on good Islamic softwares, and I saw you can have all the Sabily software inside of Jaunty. The only this is you have to install all the packages through the package manager and my Ubuntu machine won't connect to the Internet.
So how can I get teh Sabily packages without an Internet connection?

it think if can mount Sabily .iso image and use it as a repository:
you can mount it by this command :
sudo mount -o loop SABILY_ISO_IMAGE_PATH /media/cdrom0
then you need to know how to use it as a repository. ( sorry i don't know how )
But by this method you can't Update Sabily packages.
so internet is important.
