View Full Version : [ubuntu] Ubuntu not detecting OS while installation

I recently got ubuntu 9.10 DVD with a magazine and when i tried installing the OS in a new partition , it did not detect and OS in my hard disk and took my complete hard disk as a single unit ignoring the existing partitions and installed OS .?

I dont have any idea on why it isnt detecting it , ne suggestions on how to install it.

Seems to me that it's searching for existing OS's on the 'new' partition... Will it later, during the install, find the other OS's? I bet so.
