Hi,
I have a server in the house used for printing, file serving ect. it standsby when unactive I have swapped to ubuntu on my home pc and laptop but my windows server does not wake up automatically like it did when my pc & laptop ran windows i have to ping it to wake it up.
I assume there is some thing to fix this but when i google the key words i just get loads of unrelated topics.
I know there are dedicated peices of software to send packets - but i am aiming to just be able to hit print or browes the network in the same way i could under windows - oh btw my server runs xp pro and my pc & laptop both run ubuntu 9.04.
Thanks
