Please help. I installed 9.10 NBR using wubi as a dual boot on my XP netbook. All has been fine until i did an update on Christmas Day.
Now when i select the Ubuntu option from the menu it drops straight to shell (limited command option?) and i don't seem to be able to do anything.
Is this recoverable? The version was from about a week of 9.10NBR release and i beleive uses GRUB 1.94 beta.
I've seen some similar posts to alt.os.linux.ubuntu but the posters were quickly abused becuase they had used windows to install.
I could really do with some help to recover this or do i need to delete the unbuntu folder and files and start again.
I have done a 'propper' ubuntu dual boot install on my desktop but this version gave me the option to install side by side when partitioning I only used wubi becasue the NBR version doesn't give this basic option on the install and i wasn't sure how to configure the partitions without trashing my windows install which i'm affraid i need to keep.
Help would be greatly aprecitated.
