I'm looking for some programs or guides to help me get started. I've been using ubuntu for about a month now and want to explore the possibilities. The most I've ever done is some simple editing with audacity. I'm kind of interested in digital samplers but I really don't know much about what is best to know/get started.

Today I ran across this page and it is similar to what I am interested in creating but it doesn't have much to it.

I was unsure where to post this thread. If it should be somewhere else please move it.

Thanks.

You can check out Jack for some advanced audio info.

The applications link at the top gives some guidance on some of the apps out there. Many or most of them will be in the Ubuntu repositories.

You can install all the audio programs you need from the Ubuntu Studio version, by going to System-->Administration-->Synaptic Package Manager-->Edit-->Select Packages by Task, then selecting what you need from the menu.
