Could someone tell me how to boot a non-virtual hard drive in a virtual machine such as VirtuaBox OSE? I just need it to multi-task.

Thanks,

Seph

I'm not sure what you are attempting, but here is a link to the virtualbox documentation on disks.

http://www.virtualbox.org/manual/UserManual.html#settings-storage

I've been looking around in virtualbox on my system and I do not see any way to work, but to create a new virtual disk.

If you describe exactly what you are trying to do, I could maybe help out further.

Do you want to run an OS installed on another physical partition as a virtual machine while you're running another OS?

VirtualBox can do it, but it takes careful setup - and watch out for windows activation problems.

Read this: http://www.virtualbox.org/manual/UserManual.html#rawdisk

And read a lot of threads at forums.virtualbox.org - you'll have to do some searching.

There are threads in tie Virtualization section of ubuntuforums that can help you with that. I have read threads there that says you will be able to boot windows installed in a separate physical hard drive using virtual box in ubuntu. If that is what you want, then give it a try...
