Ok so It's really hard to find a good e-commerce system that's free.
The main one that caught my eye was Opencart (http://www.opencart.com/), which is actually really good but it's still a bit primitive. The main free ones are quite terrible...

zencart
oscommerce
CubeCart

The layouts are aweful and the modules and plugins are spread thin. Anyone using or know of a really good Shopping Cart System that is free, easy and good quality?

I think PayPal (http://www.paypal.com) has some shopping cart options

OSCommerce and ZenCart are both very powerful while the default layouts are awful you can make your own custom layout which can look like whatever you want it to look like.
Anyway, I was told good things about Magento (http://www.magentocommerce.com/) which seems to be the biggest thing in online shop systems at the moment, but I haven't had the chance to use it myself yet.
