Im having a problem installing vista to my laptop. It originally had vista and the hard drive failed so i put on ubuntu 9.10, i just recently acquired a vista iso and have mounted it in ubuntu and ran the exe with wine. Seems to be working well until i click install vista and get the error 0x80004005 not enough temporary space to install on partion. RIght now i have 3 partions, one is ntfs, one is unallocated and the other has ubuntu. Can anybody help me out? Thanks

If you want to run Vista inside of Ubuntu, you need to install it in VMWare or VirtualBox.

So if i install any of these it should work fine?

Well i installed vista on virtual box but how do i go about making it dual boot with ubuntu 9.10? I dont want to have to erase the whole hard drive because im installing vista via a mounted iso.

If you have installed it in a vm then that is aas far as it will go - you can;t dual boot like that.

Best place to get help with a windows error code is a windows forum.

I'd be interested to know where you go the iso from - in the meantime the thread is closed.
