I'm setting up a Ubuntu 8.04 desktop for someone who has to have it as simple as possible. I'm installing Thunderbird, because that is the program that the person is used to. However, I can't find out how to replace the little Evolution icon at the top of the screen with a Thunderbird icon so that the user can click on it and go straight to Thunderbird.

What's the trick ?

If your right click it will you give you a couple of options, make sure the one that says lock to panel is unchecked, then right click it again and it will give the option to remove from panel. Now just go to Application>Internet and click and hold thunderbird and then move it the panel location that you want. That is all there is to it.
