To an undesirable ?

Whilst trying to find an ISO to IMG converter I went to

http://www.getdeb.net/install/acetoneiso/2.2.1-1~getdeb1

and it requested my password (as it would) to install but then gave me the error "couldn't find acetone".

I'm getting rather peed off with trying to install UNR on a netbook with ISO's as it DOESN'T work and taking chances with compromising my system is not the way forward.

On the GetDeb web site, the whole section on getting started ("Learn how to install applications from this web site by clicking here (http://www.getdeb.net/updates/Ubuntu/all#how_to_install)") is, in fact, relevant to getting started. You need to add their repository first.

Also, why do you need an iso to img converter? Ubuntu has an application called usb-creator available in the official repository (bizarrely appears in System -> Administration -> USB Startup Disk Creator), which will handle that for you.

Because the bootable USB it creates DOESN'T work on an Eeepc 701. Yes, I've been in the BIOS .. Picked my nose... Scratched my **** etc.

It doesn't work.

It DOES work on this desktop (Just tried it) but not on the netbook
