Installing Software with Wine

I'm new to Ubuntu and am trying to learn more about it. One problem I'm having right now is installing software with wine. I am attempting to install Resident Evil 5. I was able to install it with Wine, but when I try to open it, there's a very fast dark flash and then nothing happens. I have no idea what the problem is or how to fix it. Can anyone help? thanks.

Well then, one thing you need to learn is to go to the WinHQ application compatibility site BEFORE you install anything with Wine -- to learn if your application will install and run.

In your case -- it will not!
