all my little experiences with linux has been with ubuntu, but since I have changed to ubuntu 9.04 my confidence is not what it was.
Can kubuntu be an alternative to ubuntu ?
I will like to hear your experiences with Kubuntu.

It's the same thing, just using KDE. You're best off trying it for yourself; other peoples opinions are just that.

UPS... 9.04 is very very buggy

I agree but if you do try it please be aware of one thing: Kubuntu is NOT kde - there are better KDE distros than Kubuntu but many people like the latter due to the large repository, large support and apt.

Aye, it's not the best implementation around.


UPS... 9.04 is very very buggy

You could try 9.10, or another distro completely.
