Im Having trouble updating my nvidia drivers for my geforce fx 5200
i tried unistalling them thru hardware drivers but that only shows me up to 173

they told 185 was the highest i installed it thru the synaptic package manager bc i read somewhere u could do it like that but i still get an error when i boot up saying no drivers found

then i downloaded EnvyNG thru the ubuntu software center
so i could update my drivers with ease but when i try starting up envyNG it wont start

is there another way to update my drivers without breaking my head

Go to synaptic package manager and make sure you have envyng-core, envyng-qt & envyng-gtk installed. Once they are all installed open a terminal and run
envyng -t

I love ubuntu, but I believe this community is at the heart of Ubuntu's success. For without this community I believe many new users would not be able to find the solutions they need and then would just give up on Ubuntu & return to whatever they were using prior.
