Hello,

Possessor of a HP TC1100, I wanted to try a more adapted interface for this notebook ancestor. I tried the Netbook remix on 9.04 months ago but wasn't convinced by it and wanted to give it a try again as improvements were made. I also discovered the Moblin interface and wanted to test it. But...
...both distributions run very slow on my machine. I know, the hardware is getting very old (Intel 1Ghz, 1,2 GB SDRam, 32 MB nVidia Geforce4 Go 420) but I didn't experienced these majors slowdowns under Jaunty. I could search for a "technical" solution but I'm no expert and wouldn't were to start; besides, I already asked about it here on the so useful HP TC1100 topic.

My question : is there any kind of alternative to these netbook environment ? Like a Ubuntu "skin" or combination of programs that would reproduce the same kind of experience without installing a brand new distribution ?

Thanks !:P
