I ended up using Wubi to install Ubuntu because of USB issues (I have no optical drive). It wouldn't let me install it on a partition so i have it dual booting with windows on the same one. I want to get rid of windows all together. Help please.

Hi,
Wubi runs from within windows. You delete windows, you kill your Wubi installation.

Possibly what you are looking for is a 'dual boot' where windows has one area of your hard-drive & computer & Ubuntu has the other area of your hard drive.

Each will have complete control of your computer when "they are in charge"

Is that what you want to do ?

Phill.
