Hello,
We're using an Ubuntu 8.04.3 server, that was upgraded from version 7.10.
Since the upgrade, we can't login through the mouse/keyboard/monitor. We only get the attached screen, but after we enter the user and password, we get back to it. SSH works fine.
Also in VNC server connection, we get only a gray screen with an X cursor, but nothing else.
I tried to remove the ubuntu-desktop and reinstall it, but it didn't help.
any help would be highly appreciated. I have no clue how to fix this.
Thank you in advance,
David
