My Acer 1410 runs 9.10 32 bit well, has home as separate partition. Using an iso disk, the 1410 seems to work well with 9.10 64 bit, connects to wifi. The 1410 has a large partition that could be loaded with 9.10 64 bit.

Two attachments.
1 shows gparted w/o external HD attached.
2 shows fdisk with external HD attached.

If I were confident about some kind of driveimage, I'd probably install the 64 bit as the only OS, especially if there's a way for /home to remain as is while 64 bit 9.10 is installed in sda1 (???).

Alternatively, if dual boot (32 bit, 64 bit) is "safe" to do without confusing grub (or ???), then I might be well served to load 64 bit 9.10 into the large partition remaining available, and see just how well 9.10 64 bit works on the Acer 1410 solo core.

Suggestions appreciated.
