View Full Version : [ubuntu] 9.04 Sound Preferences - where is the config file?

Hi!

I have been working on a shell script that will automate the setup of a freshly installed system, and this is one of the last files that I can't seem to find on my own, either by looking through the filesystem (not fun) or here in the forums (this is sort of an odd request I suppose). To clarify, I am looking for the config file(s) that are plugged into:

System >> Preferences >> Sound

This way I can set my custom system sounds with one fell swoop along with everything else.

Any input is appreciated folks!

I tried to strace the pid to see if I could get any info that way:

strace -v -f -s 4096 -o ~/sound -p `gnome-sound-properties`

No dice :-/

So close, but not quite.

Thanks for the input :)
