i just used the alternate cd 9.10 32bit to upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10...
i did this because internet doesnt work reliably and i cant sit here for a week while it upgrades.. after upgrade i am able to get into 9.10 after the old grub complains a bit.. now i read the page about installing grub2 but my question is about upgrading.. so what are the steps to do this.. i cant uninstall grub2 as the post said to.. and i dont want 2 different grubs fighting at boot time leaving me with no way to fix.. so can some guru push me in the right direction.. it seems no one is using the alternate disk for upgrades.. also after i got into 9.10 i went to update manager and it wanted to download 700+mg of updates..it said partial upgrade required.. i cant do that.. bc internet connection here in the philippines
it said once started cant stop.. hello if my internet was reliable i would have just done the upgrade over internet but here i cant rely on it to get to my home page.. i have the live cd and the alternate.. so what to do.. ? anyone ?
