I can't get my computer to suspend correctly. I think it's my nivdia 8600gt video card is the reason why.

So, I just wanted to see how many ubuntu users can suspend their computers and what hardware they had?

Did you make a big enough swap space? Or am I thinking about Hibernation?

Hibernation uses swap space, and suspend uses RAM.

But since you added the poll, I don't know if mine would work correctly I never use suspend or hibernation. Actually I can't use hibernation at all because I don't have a swap space on my desktop. It is just always on.

Hibernation uses swap space, and suspend uses RAM.

That's what I thought, I just didn't know if you needed swap for both or not.
