I have two Drupal 6 sites, one local and one remote. Whilst trying to dev an custom offline page, something got messed up and corrupted.

After doing a core upgrade, backups and copying back to local copy, the local version has a proper STANDARD Drupal offline page, which is what I was trying to get back to.

Long story short, is there a tool that will compare the content of files from two different directories? I've tried the obvious (to me) files, and can't find the culprit code.

HELLo!

Yes, Meld Diff viewer allows you to do exactly this. A life saver application, if you ask me. It allows even a 3-way compare between both files and folders.

Happy codin'!

Thanks for that - and yes, good tools can be so critical.
