I have reinstalled windows vista in my pc which had Ubuntu 9.10,when i restarted it,it didn't show me the list of OS to boot from.
Anyone who knows plz help me.

You need to reinstall grub2 for 9.10. Look here:

darko has a point .... if you still have a dual-boot scenario.

Just to clarify, when you re-installed Vista, did you install Vista in another partition (separate from Ubuntu) or.... did you let Vista install using the whole HD?

If you no longer have Ubuntu in your HD, you are then loking at re-installing Ubuntu which will then re-install GRUB as your bootloader in the MBR.
