durning the instillation process you will be given the option to create a partition and run it side by side with 9.04. will also make file transfer easier. do you have enough space on your HDD to do this?

I have 6 gb free in Ubuntu 9.4.
so after having 9.4 and 9.10 in parallel if i want to remove 9.4 and have all space that is there in 9.4 to be included in 9.10, i can do that ??

and to be clear. not how much space ubuntu 9.04 has, but how much total hard disk free space you have
