With both kde3 and 4 installed and available to boot into, the kde3 gives an error message at every log in with the KDE Crash Handler which is this "The application nspluginscan crashed and caused the signal 11,(SIGSEGV). So does anyone know how to fix this ? I have a fresh install of Kubuntu 9.10 and added in the kde3 desktop from; https://wiki.kubuntu.org/Kubuntu/Kde3/Karmic

Is there an application, service, or program which would start up at boot up into Kubuntu 9.10 KDE 3 desktop called; ns plugin scan? And how do I search for a file with that name ? Thanks for help.

Well I did search for that ns plugin scan in Konqueror but not found. And in the Services Manager there is a Network Status Daemon, so maybe that is the application causing this error ? When click close on the error box, all does seem to work fine then.

This issue is now a reported bug in the kde 3 of Kubuntu, and is found here; http://bugs.pearsoncomputing.net/show_bug.cgi?id=130 ,so it is Bugzilla bug # 130, and hopefully will eventually be fixed with a update.
