Hi, I have a digital subscribtion of Canon EOS magazine. They are using 'Page Suite (http://pagesuite.com/)', a page turning software to read online magazines like the printed books.

I would like to have such a software for my personal use. I read some books often. So I want to make them a digital book that I can read it on laptop or computer.

Do you know any good open source page turning software?

Thanks in advance!
Jay

What's wrong with digitalizing them as a .pdf, for example? It's for personal use, right?

Yes true. But it gives classic feeling for reading books :)

I think what he wants is software to read text files (potentially including PDFs) where two pages can be displayed side by side, like a real book. The software he linked to seems to have a fancy "page-turning" animation as well.

I have looked for but have not found any eBook-reading software with the dual-page feature. The only programs in the repositories that are for eBooks seem to be designed to read specific proprietary formats.

In the Ubuntu Software Center is Okular. Has the side by side option (at least for PDF). Works well for me, but no animation...
