Hi the drivers that came with ubuntu arn't letting me use the more nice features and the ubuntu pocket guid dosn' help as it tells me to select an option that isn't there im using gutsy gibbon

Gutsy is an old version of Ubuntu that is no longer supported. Download a newer iso and burn a CD to install a newer version. If you want stability without the luxury of bleeding edge software then hardy 8.04 LTS is for you. If that doesn't suit you you have a choice of newer to older in Karmic 9.10, Jaunty 9.04 and Intrepid 8.10.
