Not sure this is the right forum really but...

As the title says my update manager has stopped running on boot :(
I forget about updates until my system gives me a warning saying it might be out of date.

I had a look around in my startup applications and i have update-notifier to be run on startup

I while ago i installed the KDE desktop, decided i didnt like it so unistalled it shortly after after.

i have:

update-notifier (It did have a delay set but i removed that)
there was also update-notifier-kde which i have no removed

I added update-manager which bring the update manager up on boot (finally) Only thing is, it doesnt automatically check for updates and theres nothing in the system tray like there used to be.

Any ideas what might be going on here?
Im hoping it will be as easy as someone checking what they have in their startup

Thanks

Still it will not run on boot, am i missing a startup process thats needed?
