My machine is running ubuntu 9.0.4.
I had installed libtools 2.2.6ubuntu from the Synaptic Package manager.
I recently downloaded the libtool 2.2 source and did a manual install,
./configure, make, make install
But now when I try to make glib 2.23 I get the following error,
libtool: Version mismatch error. This is libtool 2.2, but the
libtool: definition of this LT_INIT comes from libtool 2.2.6.
libtool: You should recreate aclocal.m4 with macros from libtool 2.2
libtool: and run autoconf again.
and the compilation stops.
I googled for this error, but could not get a proper answer.
Any help is highly appreciated.
