Some practical question: shall one put salt in a dishwashing machine?

Hello,

I am now wondering why after 2 years the dishwashing machine isnt working well anymore. I saw in mall that salt exists for those machines. I usually put a little blue bag content into here (http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2086/2273432613_29d104b89f_m.jpg)

Salt prevents limescale build up which blocks the jets and generally makes life difficult for the dishwasher. Not usually a problem in areas where the water is soft.

man that's crap. I didnt know. It is true, those detergent are really all over the plates when the washing is completely done, as thin film. That s maybe why there is so much health problems nowadays. Old generation had never that , and lived longer.

Old wives tale methinks, I would say there has been a generally upward trend in the average lifespan over a long period of time.

That's not to say eating detergent residue is a good thing though...

Really the older generation lived longer? Name one medical journal that says that! All evidence points to longer lives.

Anyway if you have Lime build up, the best thing to do is get a water softener for the entire house. You will get cleaner dishes, smoother and less dry skin, and it will make the water taste better as well.

Lastly Check your dishwashers disposal unit, it or the filter might be clogged.
